licensed esthetician, 2x certified sugarist, and owner of Sugarista Mamacita (pronounced shoo-garr-e-stah mah-mah-see-tah!)​ I specialize in body sugaring, particularly Brazilians, and also offer traditional hard wax, upon request. For my sugar wax, I use a natural paste made from sugar, lemon, and water, which is safe for all skin types especially for those with sensitive skin or who suffer from skin conditions preventing them from getting waxed at all.

After spending a LARGE amount of years in retail as a manager, your girl was fed up with the rollercoaster schedule, kissing my weekends goodbye, and feeling on autopilot; I decided to go back to school. Despite being a 2x college dropout, this time hit different. I attended SFIEC in San Francisco, and once I finished my school tour, I was sold. I'm grateful to have had the most rewarding experience and not only was the first of my group to graduate, but pass State Board on the first attempt and get my license less than three weeks after graduating! I know it sounds super cliche, but there's a reason why they say it's never too late to figure what out what you want to do.  What's not to love - I create my own schedule and have a business to call my own. Which brings me to how I chose sugaring..

Ironically enough, I wasn't a fan of it- at first! I was introduced to sugaring at school during a demo and when the paste got stuck to my palm, I felt like that kid in The Little Giants movie that needed help to get unstuck, but knowing me I like to overcome that obstacle. Like many, I've faced countless trials and errors starting out, often feeling discouraged during those sticky situations. While each challenge tested my patience, every experience brought me valuable lessons. Now I mastered my craft and rest is history. ​​​​
