Do you accept walk-ins?

Currently, I do not accept walk-ins. All services are available by appointment only. While I do have preferred business hours, I'm very flexible and willing to work with your schedule to find a convenient time for your session. This ensures that each client receives dedicated and personalized care. To book an appointment, please use the online scheduling system on the homepage or service section; or if you have instagram, all booking and consent/release forms are in bio.

Where are you located? Do I need to text or get buzzed into the building?

I'm located inside of Copper & Pearl! 133 Southwest Blvd Suite C, Rohnert Park CA 94928. I'm on the SECOND floor, as soon as you walk in, I'm the first room you visibly see! There is a waiting area inside so if you're early to your appointment feel free to wait there and grab some refreshments.

Is there any parking?

Yes! You should have no trouble finding a convenient spot. No need to work about paying for parking or getting it validated.

What should I do to prepare my skin before my sugaring?

To prepare your skin before your appointment, follow these steps:

1. **Exfoliate**: Gently exfoliate the area to be sugared 24-48 hours before your appointment. This helps remove dead skin cells and ensures the sugaring paste adheres better to the hair, resulting in a smoother finish.

2. **Moisturize**: Keep your skin hydrated in the days leading up to your appointment with a light, non-greasy moisturizer. Avoid heavy lotions on the day of your appointment as they can create a barrier between your skin and the sugaring paste.

3. **Avoid Sun Exposure**: Try to avoid extensive sun exposure and tanning beds for at least 48 hours before your appointment. Sunburnt or tanned skin is more sensitive and can lead to discomfort during the sugaring process.

4. **Hair Length**: Ensure your hair is about 1/4 inch long (about the length of a grain of rice) for optimal results. Too short and the paste may not grasp the hair effectively; too long and it might cause more discomfort.

5. **Clean Skin**: Arrive at your appointment with clean, dry skin. Avoid applying any deodorants, lotions, or oils to the area being sugared.

6. **Stay Hydrated**: Drink plenty of water before your appointment as hydrated skin is more resilient and can make the process less painful.

Is wearing a mask mandatory?

No, it's no longer required. If you're more comfortable wearing one and would like me to wear one, please let me know! I don't mind wearing one at all. I also have an option you can select in my services option under Masked Service, too.

Question 6

Is there a grace period if I’m running late?

Accepted Answer

I understand that delays can happen. I offer a grace period of up to 10 minutes for clients running late to their appointments. If you anticipate being more than 10 minutes late, I will have to charge 60% of the service(s) and reschedule you in order to accommodate other clients and maintain my schedule for that day. This helps us ensure that every client receives the best possible service and experience. Thank you for your understanding.

What's the difference between sugaring and waxing?

Accepted Answer

Though waxing and sugaring are both hair removal services, the process and ingredients are different. With waxing, I use a low-temperature hard wax that is applied in the same direction as your hair growth and removed without the use of strips. The wax should have a consistency like honey and not super runny, once applied it glides on like butter on the skin, and does not sting at application. The hair is then removed in the opposite direction of its growth. Because of this, depending on your tolerance, it can be painful.

Sugaring uses an all-natural mixture of sugar, lemon, and water that exfoliates the skin and is applied in the opposite direction of hair growth. I then remove it in quick, small pulls IN the direction of your hair growth. The paste only grabs at the hair folicles and not adhere to live skin cells! Meaning I can go over the area more than once without irritating the skin. Sugaring is also more sanitary as bacteria cannot survive in high concentrates of sugar, too. Clients have expressed to long lasting results leading to permanency.

What's the difference between a Brazilian and Bikini Wax?

While they both are hair removal for your kitty, brazilian is all hair is removed (included between cheeks) whereas bikini I remove the visible hair along the bikini / underwear line.

How long should my hair be for the service? The longer, the better right?

Accepted Answer

Ideally it should be 1/4 inch long, the size of a grain of rice. any longer, don’t trim! I’ll take care of it. 4 to 5 weeks of growth is perfect. Any shorter or much longer than ½ will not give you optimal results and possibly more painful. (I recommend clients grow their hair for at least 3-4 weeks after a shave. And for the best results? No trimming at home before coming in for your services!)

How long do sugaring and waxing results last for?

Both sugaring and waxing provide long-lasting results, but the duration can vary slightly between the two methods. Typically, sugaring results last about 3 to 6 weeks, depending on your hair growth cycle and personal maintenance routine. Clients often find that with regular treatments, hair grows back finer and slower, which is why there is an extended time period.  Why is that? The sugar paste used in sugaring adheres more effectively to hair, leading to a thorough removal from the root and potentially much prolonged regrowth.

Waxing results usually last about 3 to 4 weeks. While also effective, waxing might not grasp hair as deeply as sugaring, so some individuals may notice quicker regrowth. Both methods offer smooth, hair-free skin for a significant period, and regular sessions can further slow hair regrowth over time.

How old do I have to be to get the services?

I require clients to be at least 18 years old to receive sugaring or waxing intimate services. I prioritize the safety and comfort of my clients, and the age policy ensures that we comply with health and legal guidelines. If you are under 18 but interested in my services, a parent or legal guardian must accompany you and provide written consent before your appointment. Sugaring is a safe and natural hair removal method, but I want to ensure it's suitable for each individual, respecting the maturity and consent required for such services. If you have any specific questions or need further details, please don't hesitate to contact me.

I woke up feeling sick. I think I have COVID and can't make it to my appointment today.

Accepted Answer

While I appreciate you not coming in due to illness, this falls under the cancellation policy. This is solely to protect my time and business. Your health and safety is my top priority. Whether it's Covid related or not, I ask that you do not come to your appointment. Please contact me via email or phone number (not social media) to inform me of your situation. I will be gladly to reschedule your appointment for a later date when you're feeling better and have confirmed that it is safe to do so. Can I still get a Brazilian done during my period?

Yes, you can still get a Brazilian done during your period. Please note you will be more sensitive, as that is normal. I am trained to perform services with the utmost hygiene and care, ensuring your comfort and privacy. I recommend using fresh a tampon or menstrual cup during your appointment to make the process smoother and minimize any potential discomfort. You may use the restroom beforehand and I have feminine-friendly wipes on hand as well. If you have any concerns or feel uneasy about it, please don't hesitate to discuss them with me beforehand so I can ensure you feel comfortable.

How often should I get sugared?

I recommend clients get sugared every 3 to 6 weeks (the maximum) for the best results once you're on a schedule. If you're first starting out after transitioning from shaving or using creams, I would have to see you 3-4 weeks for the first two sessions and increase the time depending on your growth. Regular sugaring sessions help to maintain smooth and hair-free skin by removing hair in the early growth stage, reducing the chances of ingrown hairs, and minimizing discomfort over time. Plus, our all-natural sugaring paste is gentle on the skin, making it suitable for even the most sensitive areas. Consistent sugaring not only keeps your skin beautifully smooth but also encourages a longer-lasting reduction in hair growth.

If you prefer sugaring, how come you offer hard wax?

It comes down to your preference! If you haven’t tried sugaring, I suggest you give it a try at least once. Majority if not all of my clients, prefer sugaring over waxing due to the many benefits.

Absolutely, mama!  Pregnant clients for sugaring and waxing services are always welcomed! The sugaring method is a great option for expecting moms because it uses an all-natural gentle paste made from sugar, water, and lemon juice, minimizing the risk of adverse reactions. While it is generally safe to get sugared or waxed during pregnancy, it's always a good idea to consult your healthcare provider before proceeding, especially if you have any specific concerns or a high-risk pregnancy. Your comfort and safety are my top priorities during this special time.

2. **Gentle Cleansing**: Use a mild, fragrance-free soap to cleanse the sugared areas. Avoid scrubbing or using rough exfoliating products immediately after the session.

3. **Exfoliation Schedule**: Starting 48 hours after your session, gently exfoliate the sugared areas 2-3 times a week. This helps to prevent ingrown hairs.
